Becoming more aware of what we put into our bodies is just as important as our need to work out and keep daily stress to a minimum. I've always thought that skim milk equaled slimmer thighs but unfortunately, I was wrong. This is why I feel so compelled to share this dirty little secret!
Whole milk goes thru an aggressive process to lose the fat in its original state. The most health-damaging part of this undertaking is the oxidation that occurs and the cholesterol particles that are left in the newly produced skim milk. When you consume skim milk the body mistakes this oxidized cholesterol as bacteria and your immune system begins to fight it off. This, in turn, causes inflammation that could lead to acne blemishes and even worse the #1 killer of women...heart disease.
A more healthy choice for your morning cup of joe would be coconut or almond milk. Even though neither are actually dairy products the word "milk" has stuck with them! They both provide numerous health benefits and they are full of all the good fat your body desires. Another upside to switching is the diminishing desire for that mid-morning snack that's holding you back from reaching your weight loss goals. Full fat food equals a fuller belly longer!!!
